The newly inaugurated elected officials of the Nigerian Union Of Teachers (NUT), Nguru Chapter, Yobe State has pledge to work hand in hand with the Local Education Authority.
This is coming when the newly elected official of the union paid a courtesy visit to the office of Education Secretary of the Local Government.
During the visit, the leader of the delegation, who is also the Chairman of the Union, Mallam Mohammed Bashir stated that” we are here for a familiarization visit”.
Bashir Said, ” even though we are not new here but we here to introduce our newly elected members”.
He said, ” this is our home but this time around our visit will serve as a maiden one after election”.
Continuing he said, ” we want to thank the Education Secretary for all the moral supports rendered to our members before and after the election.”
“We want to tell you that we are partners in progress; we will continue to support Government at all levels to achieving it’s designed policies and programs towards taking Education to the next level particularly at Basic Levels”.
Responding, the Education Secretary of the Local Government, Mallam Hamisu Ado promised to provide the right conducive working environment for Teachers.
Saying that, Government is working round the clock in collaboration with the Development Partners to see to the standardization of Teaching and Learning Environment in all the nooks and crannies of Yobe State.
Ado said, ” what the Government needs in return is your cooperation and support.” Mallam Hamisu Concluded
The team comprises : Mallam Sabiu Sabo, Deputy Chairman, Mallam Garba Badamasi Secretary, Mallam Kabiru Muhammad Jinjiri Treasurer among others.
