The Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Yobe State Council, has expressed condolences to Governor Mai Mala Buni and the people of the state over the deadly boat accident in Ngarbi, Nguru Local Government Area of the state.
In a statement signed by the NUJ Chairman, Comrade Rajab Mohammed Ismael, and the Secretary, Alhassan Sule Mamudo said, the union described the incident as a “big loss” and it stands in solidarity with the families affected by the tragedy happened.
“We mourn the loss of lives and stand in solidarity with the families affected by this sorrowful event,” the statement said.
The council prayed for comfort and strength for the bereaved families and urged them to draw support from one another during the painful period.
