The new state of the earth state earth sporting complex was commisioned by Governor Aminu Bello to promote fitness among jounalists.
Governor Masari noted that, journalists holds a very significant position in daily running of any responsible government as such needs to keep fit to be able to discharge thier duties effectively.
He also called on the journalists in the state to exhibit professionalism in their reportage to correct the wrong impression being created about the security situation in the state.
The National President of the Union Cheif Chris Uzoge who appreciated the efforts of the Katsina State Council of the NUJ describing the project as thl(o(9 Oppo
first of its kind in the country.
He said the sporting complex will give conducive working environment to journalists in the state to refresh themselves after nemorous work.
Mr Chris also appreciated the good relationship and assistance being rendered to the NUJ in the state.
The Chairman of occasion the Kanwan Katsina district head of Katare Alh Usman Bello Kankara expressed satisfaction with the development.
He called on the members of the utilization of the complex.
The State Chairman of the NUJ Comrade Tukur DanAli said yhe council was motivated to undertake the project out of the zeel to promote cordiality among members.
During the occasion a mosque located at the NUJ Secretariat was donated to the community of the area after being renovated by the Union.
