Kano State council of the Nigeria union of journalists has inaugurated five members credentials and screening committee for it’s forthcoming poll.
Inaugurating the committee, the state chairman of the council comrade Abbas Ibrahim said the members who were drawn across financial chapels was based on merit considering their track record in service and the profession.
Comrade Abbas Ibrahim urged members of the committee to carryout their assigned responsibility without fear or favor so as to allow peace and stability reign supreme in the association.
According to him, members of the committee include Comrade Salisu Babangida of the state ministry of information, comrade Ali Sidi Sharifai of Abubakar Rimi Television ARTV as secretary while Abdussalam Naiya Gwammaja, Wasila Ibrahim Ladan and Elizabeth Yila Lamido Will serve as members.
In his inaugural speech, the chairman of the committee comrade Salisu Babangida pledged to carryout their work with utmost trust and fairness.
Comrade Salisu Babangida who thanked the state council for finding them Worthy for the assignment and assured to conduct credible, free and fair election.
The committee has thirty days to complete its assignment.
