— Commends Alh. Usman Bello Kankara’s Transformative Reign in Ketare
The Katsina State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has extended warm felicitations to one of its esteemed patrons, Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara (mni), on the celebration of his Silver Jubilee as the Kanwan Katsina and District Head of Ketare.
In a statement signed by the NUJ Chairman, Tukur Dan-Ali Hassan (FCAI), the council lauded the monarch for his visionary leadership and tireless contributions to the progress of Ketare District since his turbaning on November 4, 2000, by the late Emir of Katsina, Alhaji Muhammadu Kabir Usman.
According to the statement, Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara’s 25-year reign has significantly transformed Ketare and its surrounding communities through improved infrastructure, enhanced education, and better healthcare delivery.
The union particularly highlighted key developmental milestones achieved under his stewardship — including the construction of strategic road networks linking Kankara to Ketare, Ketare to Malumfashi, and Ketare to Gora, as well as the establishment of secondary schools and comprehensive health centres facilitated through his influence and advocacy.
Describing him as “a great achiever in the history of Ketare District,” the NUJ expressed pride in being associated with the monarch, whose reign has promoted peace, social harmony, and human capital development across the area.
The statement concluded with heartfelt prayers for continued wisdom, strength, and longevity for the Kanwan Katsina as he continues to serve his people with dedication and integrity.
