The Chairman of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Borno State Chapter, Comrade Abdulkareem Haruna, has warmly received a copy of Sahel Sports Facts in Maiduguri, describing the publication as a welcome boost to sports development through journalism.
The presentation was made by Ibrahim Tukur, Borno State Correspondent of Sahel Sports Facts, at the Ministry of Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Resettlement (RRR) Data Centre in the state capital.
Expressing delight, Comrade Abdulkareem commended the growing role of specialised sports reporting in inspiring youths and promoting unity, noting that sports journalism remains a powerful tool for positive engagement in society.
He also applauded the editors and the entire Sahel Sports Facts team nationwide for what he described as “a job well done,” urging them to sustain professionalism and consistency in their reportage.
The highlight of the visit was a photo session featuring the NUJ Chairman proudly holding a copy of Sahel Sports Facts, symbolising institutional support for the publication’s mission.
“Thank you, sir,” the team of Sahel Sports Facts said in appreciation, reaffirming its commitment to advancing sports journalism across the country.
