The Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ, Anambra State Council, has strongly condemned the actions of certain members within its Correspondents’ Chapel, labeling their recent activities as disruptive and unauthorized.
During its April Congress held at the Godwin Ezeemo International Press Centre in Awka, the union reaffirmed its unwavering support for the state chairman, Dr. Odogwu Emeka Odogwu, and commended Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo for his developmental initiatives.
The Congress dismissed the purported election led by Chuks Ilozue as illegitimate, describing it as a “kangaroo exercise” and cautioning the faction against presenting themselves as legitimate leaders of the chapel.
Additionally, the union urged the public to disregard any misinformation suggesting the suspension of Dr. Odogwu, emphasizing that such claims are baseless and without merit.
