
National universities commission NUC has approved the commencement of MBBS and 13 new courses for Umaru Musa Yar’adua University (UMYU) Katsina
This is contained in an approval letter addressed to the university by the commission and obtained by ABC News
According to the letter the approval followed the resources verification visit carried out by the panel of experts to some proposed academic programmes in the university with a view to assessing the human and material resources
The approved new courses to commenced at the university are as follows
1.MBBS Medicine and Surgery
2.B. Forestry and wild life management
3.B ed Integrated science
4.B.sc Metrology
5.B.Agric.Agricultural science
6.B ed.Business studies education
7.B.sc Environmental management
8.B.sc. International Relations
9.B.ed.Primary Education studies
10.B.sc Fisheries and acquaculture
11.B.sc.Local Government and Development Studies
12.B.ed.Early child hood Education
13.B.sc.(ed) Computer Science Education
14.B.ed.Special Education.
