The Zamfara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has expressed shock following the arrest of one of its officers, ASCII Maikano Sarkin-Tasha, by the Zamfara Police Command.
Sarkin-Tasha has been accused of supplying ammunition and drugs to bandits.
Zamfara NSCDC Commandant Sani Mustapha confirmed the arrest, emphasizing the Corps’ strict adherence to ethical standards.
He noted that the officer had a history of truancy and absenteeism, and investigations had begun into the allegations.
Despite the serious charges, Mustapha assured that the NSCDC would work closely with the police to ensure justice, reaffirming their commitment to upholding interagency cooperation.
