The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has announced the promotion of 167 personnel in Katsina State, including the Command’s Spokesperson, DSC Buhari Hamisu, who now holds the rank of Superintendent of Corps.
Hamisu, who has served as the Public Relations Officer since May 2023, was recognized for his dedication in advancing the Corps’ reputation as a key player in Nigeria’s security framework.
The promotions come as part of a broader national advancement, with over 9,900 NSCDC personnel moving up in rank. Katsina’s list includes promotions from Deputy Commandant of Corps (DCC) to Assistant Superintendent of Corps II (ASC II), showcasing the Command’s growing strength and expertise.
The Minister of Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, praised the promotions as a reflection of merit and loyalty, aligning with President Tinibu’s renewed hope agenda. Commandant General Ahmed Abubakar Audi’s commitment to restructuring the Corps ensures the NSCDC remains at the forefront of Nigeria’s security apparatus.
The newly promoted officers are expected to bring even greater energy to their roles, helping to further stabilize security across the nation.
