NSCDC, NTA Forge Stronger Ties in Katsina

Katsina state government

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Katsina State Command, has deepened its collaboration with the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) Katsina, pledging to work hand-in-hand in strengthening public awareness on security and the protection of critical national assets.

On Wednesday, August 20, 2025, the newly deployed General Manager of NTA Katsina, Muhammad Lawan Baba, paid a courtesy visit to the State Commandant of NSCDC, Commandant of Corps Aminu Datti Ahmad (fsf, MADM, FCAI), at the Command Headquarters.

Baba described the visit as part of his familiarization tour to agencies and stakeholders across the state. He commended the long-standing cordial relationship between NTA and NSCDC nationwide and promised to sustain and build on it in Katsina. According to him, the media has a duty to educate, enlighten, and mobilize the public on issues of safety, security, and national development.

Responding, Commandant Ahmad welcomed the NTA boss and assured him of NSCDC’s full support and cooperation. He emphasized the importance of the media in sensitizing the public to protect critical infrastructure and promote peace and stability across Katsina State.

The renewed partnership signals a stronger front in raising awareness, fostering collaboration, and ensuring that citizens are well-informed in the fight against insecurity.
