NSCDC Katsina, NDLEA Join Forces for a Drug-Free Katsina

A powerful alliance to combat drug abuse and enhance public safety was solidified today as Commandant of Corps Jamilu Abdu Indabawa of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) welcomed CN Mohammed Aminu Abubakar, the State Commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Katsina Command, at the NSCDC Katsina Command Headquarters.

During the meeting, CN Abubakar expressed gratitude for the warm reception and emphasized the critical need for synergy among security agencies.

“Despite our unique mandates, collaboration is essential in addressing security challenges affecting Katsina and Nigeria at large,” he stated, underscoring the importance of unified efforts to curb drug trafficking and abuse.

Commandant Indabawa assured the NDLEA of his commitment to strengthening the existing partnership, highlighting that credible intelligence and joint operations are key to securing Katsina as a drug-free zone.

The meeting concluded with a symbolic gesture: the presentation of the NDLEA magazine and the decoration of Commandant Indabawa with the NDLEA badge, symbolizing the unity between the agencies.
