NSCDC KATSINA: Launches Rapid Response Squad, Marks 100 Days with Strategic Leadership Summit

In a decisive move to strengthen security across Katsina State, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) State Command, under the leadership of Commandant Aminu Datti Ahmad fsf, MADM, on Wednesday launched a Rapid Response Squad (RRS) at the Command Headquarters.

The elite squad, a directive from NSCDC Commandant General Ahmad Abubakar Audi is tasked with providing swift responses to emergencies and protecting critical national infrastructure across the state.

Speaking at the unveiling, Commandant Ahmad reaffirmed the Corps’ readiness to tackle insecurity and emergency threats head-on, stressing that the newly formed squad will operate with precision and professionalism.

The day also marked Commandant Ahmad’s first 100 days in office — a milestone he commemorated by hosting a high-level strategic management meeting with Heads of Departments, Area Commanders, Divisional Officers, and Unit Commanders. The forum served as a performance review session and a launchpad for future plans.

He urged personnel to maintain discipline, embrace best practices, and commit to operational excellence. The Commandant also outlined a robust roadmap focused on training, retraining, improved welfare, and recognition of exemplary service.

Several officers were publicly commended for outstanding performance, signaling a renewed era of merit-based recognition and motivation in the Katsina Command.
