The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC, Katsina State Command, under the leadership of Commandant of Corps Aminu Datti Ahmad, has launched the official distribution of Digital Identity Cards to its personnel.
The ceremony, held at the Command Headquarters in Katsina, saw top officers in attendance, including DCC Omibeku Sunday Omikunle, Head of the ID Card Unit from NSCDC National Headquarters, Abuja, who assisted in the rollout.
Commandant Ahmad commended the Abuja delegation and the Katsina ID team for their “unwavering commitment and dedication to a seamless and secure process.” Addressing officers before issuing the new cards, he urged them to protect their ID cards with utmost care and maintain conduct worthy of the Corps’ integrity.
“We are entering a new phase of accountability and identity security. This card is not just a formality—it is a symbol of our professional standard,” Ahmad declared.
In a display of field engagement, the Commandant also inspected the construction of a new NSCDC outpost within the premises of the old Steel Rolling Housing Estate’s Primary School in Janbango. He made critical observations and gave directives to ensure structural and operational readiness.
Rounding off a busy day, Commandant Ahmad joined other top security chiefs in welcoming the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hassan Bala Abubakar, to Katsina. At the 213 Forward Operating Base (FOB), they witnessed the commissioning of key infrastructure projects, including officers’ and airmen’s accommodations and a new place of worship.
The Katsina NSCDC Command continues to stand tall as a symbol of modern security management and inter-agency synergy in the fight for a safer Nigeria.
