NSCDC KATSINA COMMANDANT HONOURED FOR EXCELLENCE IN LEADERSHIP, PEACE INITIATIVES

In a wave of commendations celebrating effective leadership and commitment to peace, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Katsina State Commandant, Commandant Aminu Datti Ahmad has received a prestigious award from the Network for Good Governance and Transparency (NGGT) Nigeria.

The recognition, tagged “Golden Accolades and Complements of Credence,” was presented during a special visit to the NSCDC Command Headquarters in Katsina by NGGT’s Secretary General, Ambassador Abdul’aziz Idris Gangara. According to the ambassador, the award celebrates Commandant Ahmad’s dedication and selfless service towards maintaining peace and stability in Katsina State—just seven months into his tenure.

Commandant Ahmad, while receiving the honour, expressed deep gratitude for the recognition and reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to supporting initiatives that foster peace. He pledged NSCDC’s continued collaboration with NGGT and other key stakeholders to sustain security and developmental progress in the state.

In a related development, the Command also played host to the Commandant of United Nigeria Chaplaincy, Chaplain Bello Isah, and the Chairman of Katsina Citizens for Leadership Evaluation and Motivation, Comr. Aliyu Mamman Dan Umma. Both delegations paid courtesy visits to seek enhanced cooperation with the NSCDC.

Commandant Ahmad warmly welcomed both delegations, assuring them of his leadership’s readiness to partner with organisations that share the vision of a more secure and peaceful Katsina.
