NSCDC Deploys 2,160 Operatives Ahead of President Tinubu’s Visit to Katsina

As Katsina gears up for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s two-day working visit, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC Katsina State Command has deployed a massive force of 2,160 operatives to ensure watertight security across the state.

The deployment, announced by the State Commandant, Commandant of Corps Aminu Datti Ahmad fsf, MADM, follows a high-level strategic meeting with senior officers at the NSCDC Headquarters on Thursday. The visit will see the commissioning of the Eastern Bypass Dual Carriageway and the Agricultural Mechanization Centre at Tashar Bala, both key projects of Governor Dikko Umaru Radda’s administration.

Commandant Ahmad directed personnel to be strategically positioned across critical areas including the airport, Usman Bin Affan Mosque in Modoji, project sites, and other sensitive locations. He also ordered the deployment of undercover operatives to bolster intelligence gathering and swift response to any threats.

“Our operatives must exhibit high standards of professionalism, civility, and coordination, especially in synergy with sister security agencies,” Ahmad emphasized, urging full commitment and vigilance.

Heads of Operations and Special Duty Units briefed the team on operational guidelines, reinforcing the Command’s readiness to deliver a secure environment throughout the high-profile visit.
