NSCDC Deploys 2,106 Personnel for Katsina LG Elections

As part of efforts to ensure a peaceful and secure electoral process, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Katsina State Command, has deployed 2,106 personnel ahead of the February 15, 2025, Local Government Elections.

State Commandant Aminu Datti Ahmad, fsf, MADM, announced the deployment while issuing the Operational Order at the Command Headquarters on February 10, 2025. He reaffirmed the commitment of the Commandant General, Ahmed Abubakar Audi, PhD, mni, OFR, to the protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure while ensuring a safe electoral environment.

To enhance security, the command has adopted reviewed strategies, including intensive surveillance, intelligence gathering, community engagement, and inter-agency collaboration. Specialized operatives have also been deployed to sensitive locations for undercover intelligence gathering.

Commandant Ahmad charged Area Commanders, Divisional Officers, Unit Commanders, and Special Forces to ensure proper coordination and watertight security. He emphasized professionalism, commitment, and synergy with other security agencies to guarantee hitch-free elections.

The NSCDC boss urged the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities, assuring Katsina residents of maximum security during the elections.
