NSCDC Deploys 2,100 Operatives for Easter in Katsina, Vows Watertight Security

In a strong show of security preparedness, the Katsina State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC has deployed 2,100 personnel across the state to ensure a peaceful Easter celebration and protect critical national assets.

State Commandant, Aminu Datti Ahmad fsf, MADM, made the disclosure on Wednesday while extending warm Easter greetings to Christian faithful. He reaffirmed the Corps’ unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives, infrastructure, and strategic installations in line with the directive of the Commandant General, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, OFR, mni.

“We’ve intensified surveillance, ramped up intelligence gathering, and strengthened collaboration with other security agencies,” Ahmad stated. He further ordered strategic deployments to churches, recreational centres, motor parks, markets, and other high-traffic areas.

Heads of Departments, Area Commanders, and Special Forces have been tasked with ensuring coordinated patrols and robust monitoring, covering all 34 local government areas and key government facilities.

Commandant Ahmad urged operatives to remain professional and civil in their conduct, emphasizing the need for synergy with sister agencies for a hitch-free Easter. He also called on residents to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity.

“Let us work together to secure our communities. I wish all our Christian brothers and sisters a joyous and peaceful Easter,” he concluded.
