The Katsina State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC, Commandant Aminu Datti Ahmad fsf, MADM, FCAI, today received the Katsina-Kaduna Zonal Coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Alhaji Suleiman Muhammad, on a familiarization visit to the Command Headquarters in Katsina.
During the visit, the NEMA Coordinator expressed gratitude for the warm reception and applauded the long-standing working relationship between both agencies. He emphasized the need for continued collaboration to strengthen disaster management and emergency response mechanisms in the region.
In response, Commandant Ahmad welcomed the delegation and identified key areas where the NSCDC and NEMA can deepen their synergy, assuring the Agency of his full support and cooperation in ensuring the safety and resilience of communities in Katsina and beyond.
Ahmad Condoles Senator Abdul’aziz Yar’adua
In a related development, Commandant Ahmad paid a condolence visit to the family of former President Umar Musa Yar’adua GCFR, following the passing of Abubakar Musa Yar’adua.
The Commandant visited the Yar’adua family home in Katsina, where he extended heartfelt sympathies to Senator Abdul’aziz Musa Yar’adua, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Army, and other family members.
“May Allah grant the deceased eternal rest in Jannatul Firdaus and give the family the strength to bear this painful loss,” Ahmad prayed during the solemn visit.
The visit highlighted the NSCDC’s commitment not only to inter-agency collaboration but also to community solidarity and support in times of grief.
