President Launches Eastern Bypass and Agric Centre Amid Grand Reception
KATSINA — The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC, Katsina State Command, under the leadership of Commandant Aminu Datti Ahmad played a prominent role on Friday, May 2, 2025, in receiving the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, at the Umaru Musa Yar’adua International Airport, Katsina.
Commandant Ahmad, alongside Katsina State Governor Mallam Dikko Umaru Radda, PhD, CON, and top military and paramilitary brass, warmly welcomed the President who arrived on a high-profile working visit.
Immediately upon arrival, President Tinubu addressed troops and security personnel before proceeding to commission two landmark projects championed by the Radda administration — the dualized Eastern Bypass Road and the state-of-the-art Agricultural Mechanization Centre at Tashar Bala.
The President was flanked by an eminent delegation, including Governors Babagana Zulum (Borno), Umar Namadi (Jigawa), and Uba Sani (Kaduna); APC National Chairman Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje; former Katsina Governors Ibrahim Shema and Aminu Bello Masari; and the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Abubakar Kyari.
Other dignitaries in attendance included Deputy Governor Faruk Lawal Jobe, Speaker of the State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Nasir Yahaya Daura, Presidential Aide Alhaji Ibrahim Kabir Masari, Emir of Katsina HRH Alh. (Dr) Abdulmumini Kabir Usman, CFR, and Emir of Daura HRH Alh. (Dr) Umar Faruk Umar, CON.
The NSCDC remains committed to supporting state and federal security operations while contributing to the protection of critical infrastructure and peace in Katsina State.
