Borno State Government

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has arrested a suspected gun-runner and fraudster during an intelligence-driven operation in Kano State.

In a statement issued by the Corps, the suspect, identified as Suleiman M. Uba, 31, was apprehended following credible intelligence that led operatives to intercept him while in transit.

Preliminary investigations revealed that Uba, a native of Tashene village in Zaki Local Government Area of Bauchi State, was allegedly travelling through Kano and heading toward Kebbi State at the time of his arrest.

Security sources disclosed that the suspect is believed to be involved in illegal activities related to arms trafficking and fraudulent dealings, raising concerns over the growing network of criminal operations across parts of northern Nigeria.

Authorities reiterated their commitment to safeguarding communities and urged members of the public to continue providing timely information to security agencies to help combat crime across the region.
