Sabon Birni Local Government Area of Sokoto State is once again under siege by notorious bandit leader Kachalla Saidu Zango, better known as “Buzu.” His latest act of terror unfolded yesterday evening in Garin Idi, a village near Tarah, where he stopped residents from taking home their harvested sorghum, threatening their very survival.
Buzu’s reign of terror has spread across the villages of Zago, Tarah, and Gatawa, but his recent move has sparked outrage and fear among the farming communities. In a chilling warning, the bandit leader told villagers they would not be allowed to engage in irrigation farming during the upcoming winter season, further crippling their livelihoods.
