NO LOSS OF BUHARI LAND IN ABUJA

#Zulum238Projects #Term2 Focus: Education (54 Projects) Zulum's 5th year in office, consolidating on sterling 4 years of the first tenure. “1,195 Projects and Counting.” Series on 238 projects in the first year of the second tenure of Governor Zulum.

Reports circulating about the alleged seizure of land belonging to former President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja have been grossly misrepresented.

Clarifying the matter, former Presidential Spokesman Garba Shehu emphasized that the said land is not personally owned by Buhari but was allocated to the “Muhammadu Buhari Foundation,” an organization established by well-meaning individuals around him.

The Foundation encountered challenges with the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), including an unusually high bill for the issuance of a certificate of occupancy. This anomaly, whether deliberate or not, led to the revocation of the allocation.

As for Buhari himself, he has a single plot of land in Abuja, which he acquired long before his presidency. Notably, when he and his cabinet were offered additional plots during his tenure, he declined, insisting the allocations be given to others without land in the FCT.

The former President’s integrity in handling public resources remains intact, and any attempt to sensationalize this issue is baseless.

Shehu urged the public and media to verify their facts before making claims that tarnish Buhari’s name.
