KANO – Celebrated Hausa singer Aminu Ladan Abubakar, popularly known as Alan Waka, made a bold claim during the Ranar Hausa celebration in Kano, asserting that no Hausa man has ever held the position of governor in Kano State or been elected as President of Nigeria.

Despite Kano being a predominantly Hausa state, Mr. Abubakar highlighted the historical absence of Hausa leadership in these key roles, sparking a conversation about ethnic representation in Nigerian politics.

In his interview with Premier Radio, Alan Waka emphasized the peaceful nature of the Hausa people, noting that despite facing oppression and violence in various regions, they have never sought vengeance.
