In an exclusive interview with Asputnik_afrique, Malian Foreign Minister Abdoulaye Diop clarified that the newly formed Alliance of Sahel States (AES) is not targeting any nation.
“The AES is not directed against anyone,” Diop emphasized. “We are focused on our common interests.
“Diop highlighted the unity and shared vision among Mali, Burkina Faso, and Niger, the three member countries of AES.
“We have the same vision and share the same concerns,” he said.
The AES aims to bolster security and development cooperation in the Sahel region, tackling challenges such as terrorism.
