The federal government of Nigeria, has reiterated its commitment to building a digitally driven economy anchored on innovation, transparency, and youth empowerment .
Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima stated on the occasion of the 2025 Digital Nigeria International Conference and Exhibition (DNICE) ceremony held at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Center, Abuja with the theme: Innovation for a Substanible Digital Future.
Declaring the conference open, Vice President Kashim Shettima described the event as a defining moment in Nigeria’s journey toward a technology-driven future.
He says that the government is determined to promote better service delivery and transparent governance through digital tools and data-driven systems”
In his address, the Director-General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, noted that Nigeria stands at a critical point in its digital evolution.
He stated that equipping the nation’s youth with the right digital skills is key to unlocking national prosperity.
Also speaking, Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani, highlighted the federal government’s strategic investments in foundational digital infrastructure and human capital development.
He disclosed that the ongoing 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) initiative remains central to achieving the administration’s economic reform agenda.
