Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar Lajada has commended the Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF) for backing the amendment of the Tax Reforms Bill, hailing it as a game-changer for fiscal transparency and economic growth.

Dr. Lajada praised the Governors for their foresight in endorsing the Revised VAT sharing formula, which now allocates 50% based on equality, 30% on derivation, and 20% on population. He described the move as a testament to their commitment to a fairer, more efficient tax system that benefits all Nigerians.

According to him, these reforms will not only enhance revenue generation but also strengthen funding for critical public services like education, healthcare, and infrastructure.
