The Senators of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, led by the Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau Jibrin, have offered heartfelt condolences to Katsina State Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, over the passing of his mother, late Hajiya Safara’u Umaru Baribari.
Senator Barau Jibrin noted the Senate’s profound respect for the bereaved family.
“We are here in your state as a delegation from the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” he stated.
The Senator revealed that the Senate had already paid special tribute to the late matriarch, stating, “Her passing was mentioned on the floor of the Senate, and we offered prayers for her in the hallowed chamber of the Federal Republic. This underscores how seriously the Senate takes this great loss.”
Senator Jibrin offered spiritual solace, praying, “May Allah grant her Aljannah Firdaus and give you, your government, and the people of Katsina State the fortitude to bear this great loss.”
Katsina State Deputy Governor Malam Faruk Lawal Jobe reciprocated the sentiments, he expressed deep gratitude for the Senate’s solidarity.
“We are deeply honoured to receive this distinguished delegation, not only for this visit but also for the special prayers offered in the hallowed chambers of the National Assembly for our departed mother” he said.
The Senate delegation comprised distinguished senators, including; Senator Munir Ned Nwoko, Senator Abdulhameed Malammadori, Senator Adamu Aliero, Senator Ikra Bilbis, Senator Babangida Hussaini, Senator Siyako Anthony Yaro, Senator Yahaya Abdullahi, Alhaji Lawal Yakawada, Chairman North West Development Commission and Hon. Yusuf A. Ata, Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development.
