NCAA Cracks Down on Unauthorized Commercial Flights, Suspends Three Operators
In a bold move to uphold aviation regulations, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has clamped down on private jet operators engaging in unauthorized commercial activities.
The Acting Director General, Chris Najomo, issued a stern warning on Tuesday, announcing the suspension of three private operators for flouting rules against using private jets for commercial purposes.
Despite clear directives from Minister Festus Keyamo to cease such activities in 2023, these operators persisted, prompting the NCAA’s decisive action.
The Authority’s intensified monitoring revealed violations of PNCF guidelines and Nigeria Civil Aviation Regulations 2023.
Najomo emphasized the zero-tolerance stance on regulatory breaches, highlighting the rigorous surveillance at airports leading to the suspension of the operators’ PNCF permits.
This crackdown underscores Nigeria’s commitment to aviation safety and adherence to established protocols.
