The Nigerian Army says the introduction of practical promotion examination for Lieutenant and Captain will improve the military competence of the officers.
In a statement issued by Lieutenant Colonel ,Ademola Adegoke on behalf of the examination president said the exercise will hold at the 22 Armoured Brigade, Sobi Cantonment in Ilorin Kwara state.
According to the statement, the examination is also aimed at evaluating the officers and assisting the Nigerian Army in their carrier planning.
The statement advised that the general public within the Ilorin metropolis and environs not panic following the large presence of troops during the period.
The statement noted that the exercise will hold between February 14th and 18 this year.
