In a significant step towards enhancing air travel between Nigeria and Canada, a Bilateral Air Service Agreement (BASA) on Code-Sharing was formally signed this afternoon. The signing, done on behalf of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, cements a strategic aviation partnership between both nations.
While Canada’s representative had signed earlier in the month in Ottawa, the document was officially transmitted through the Canadian High Commissioner to Nigeria, Ambassador Pasquale Salvaggio, who represented Canada at today’s ceremony.
The agreement is expected to improve airline partnerships, facilitate smoother travel, and strengthen economic and diplomatic ties between the two countries.
