Intelligence authorities in Niger, Mali, and Burkina Faso have disclosed plans to publicly expose Nigerian politicians alleged to be aiding bandit groups terrorizing the North-West region.
Security sources from the three Sahelian nations confirmed that they already have the names of high-profile figures suspected of providing financial and logistical support to criminal gangs.
They further revealed that several suspects linked to arms supply networks have been apprehended, with investigations currently in progress.
According to the agencies, the planned revelation is part of a broader regional crackdown aimed at dismantling cross-border crime syndicates fueling violence and insecurity in West Africa.
This latest development underscores the increasing security cooperation among Sahel states, particularly in curbing armed groups and stemming the flow of illicit weapons across borders.
