A new era has begun at the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Katsina State Command, following the official assumption of duty by Corps Commander Ali Hinna Ibrahim as the 27th Sector Commander.
The leadership transition, which took place on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, was marked by a formal handover ceremony at the Command headquarters, complete with a ceremonial quarter guard and the presentation of official handing-over notes.
Ali Hinna Ibrahim takes over from his predecessor, Maxwell Kaltungo Lede, who bowed out after a notable tenure defined by teamwork and operational coordination.
In his farewell remarks, Lede expressed gratitude to God and commended officers and men of the Command for their unwavering support, urging them to extend the same level of cooperation to the new leadership.
“I deeply appreciate the commitment and unity we shared. I urge you all to give the incoming commander the same support to move the Command forward,” he said.
Responding, the new Sector Commander thanked personnel for the warm reception and pledged to operate an open-door policy aimed at fostering inclusiveness and efficiency.
He called for sustained unity and dedication among officers to enable the Command achieve its core mandate of ensuring safety on Nigerian roads.
The change of guard is seen as a routine but strategic transition aimed at strengthening the operational effectiveness of the Corps in Katsina State.
Meanwhile, the outgoing commander, Maxwell Kaltungo Lede, has been redeployed to the FRSC Headquarters, where he will serve as Corps Intelligence Officer—a role expected to leverage his experience in advancing the agency’s intelligence and enforcement capabilities.
With fresh leadership now in place, stakeholders are optimistic that the Katsina Command will continue to build on past successes while charting a stronger course toward safer highways.
