In a show of compassion and concern, the management team of the North East Development Commission (NEDC), led by the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer , Mohammed Alkali Goni, visited the victims of the recent IED attack in Gwoza at the Borno State Specialist Hospital in Maiduguri on Tuesday.
The team was warmly welcomed by the MD of the Hospital, Dr. Babashehu Muhammad, who provided details on the incident. According to the hospital’s report, he said 40 patients were received and treated, with those sustaining minor injuries being discharged.
Addressing the media, the NEDC’s MD/CEO, Mohammed Alkali Goni, expressed the purpose of the visit was to extend sympathy to the victims and to devise a comprehensive response to this multidimensional problem.
The medical director state epcialist hospital Dr Babashehu Muhammed reiterated that they have one of the best and robourst blood bank in the whole of northest subregion to meet the need of the partient at any given time. Adding that the total number of the victims received by the hospital is 40 out of which 15 were discharged while the remaining are well taking care of.
