In a renewed push to curb drug-related crimes in Katsina State, the Commissioner of Police, CP Bello Shehu, on Wednesday, received the newly deployed State Commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), CN Isma’il Dan Malam, during a courtesy visit to the police command headquarters.
The NDLEA boss expressed appreciation for the warm reception and praised the police command’s unwavering efforts in maintaining law and order across the state. He emphasized the importance of collaboration between the two agencies, calling for strengthened synergy to enhance operational effectiveness in tackling drug abuse and trafficking.
Responding, CP Bello Shehu welcomed the new commander and pledged the Katsina Police Command’s full support in the fight against drug-related offences. He stressed that collective action is crucial in dismantling drug networks and safeguarding communities.
The visit featured an engaging session between officers of both agencies, fostering the exchange of ideas and strategies for a united front against narcotics.
