The chairman house committee on sports and Former Borno State commissioner of sports and his Gombe state counterpart made this known at SWAN
Zonal meeting in Gombe State.
The President of Yarmalight F.C of Gombe Alhaji Faruk Yarima as well as the President DMD FC of Borno State Honourable Abubakar Ibrahim Babale were ready to revive and host the Zonal games of the North East region of the Country.
The two former commissioners of sports are among the recipients of the award by the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria SWAN which took place in Gombe State.
In his remark the Yarmalight President Farouk applauded the effort of the National President of sports writers association of Nigeria through the office of the Zonal Vice President of the Association and also call on well to do individuals in the society to contribute their own quarter in developing sports and youths.
Dignitaries from the zone as well as ndividuals that contributed on one way or the other for the development of sports were in attendance.
Highlights of the occasion were the presentation of medals and certificate of recognition for their selfless services in sports development particularly grassroots.
