The Nasser International Forum – Sudan Chapter has issued a powerful statement condemning what it described as “grave violations and atrocities” committed against civilians in El Fasher, North Darfur, following recent attacks by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).

In a strongly worded declaration, the Forum expressed “deep outrage” over the deliberate targeting of innocent civilians, hospitals, and humanitarian facilities — actions it said amount to war crimes and a flagrant breach of international humanitarian law.

“These acts must not go unpunished,” the Forum declared, urging the United Nations, the African Union, the League of Arab States, and other global partners to urgently intervene to protect civilians, facilitate humanitarian access, and hold perpetrators accountable.

Forum also emphasized the immediate need for a ceasefire and the opening of humanitarian corridors to enable the safe delivery of aid to those trapped by the ongoing violence. It highlighted the growing plight of displaced persons, particularly women and children, who remain at high risk amid the escalating conflict.

Reiterating its solidarity with the people of Sudan, the Forum appealed to all national actors to “choose dialogue over violence” and to commit to a comprehensive, inclusive, and peaceful political solution that would restore stability, unity, and dignity to the country.

“The Nasser International Forum – Sudan Chapter stands firm with every effort aimed at ending the suffering in Darfur and preserving Sudan’s territorial integrity and social fabric,” the statement concluded.

The call comes amid mounting international concern over the humanitarian situation in Darfur, where continued clashes between the RSF and the Sudanese Armed Forces have led to widespread displacement, civilian casualties, and the collapse of essential services in El Fasher and surrounding areas.
