In a decisive blow to criminal elements, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has neutralized 15 bandits in an airstrike carried out in Katsina State’s Safana Local Government Area.

The air raid, part of Operation FANSAN YAMMA under the Northwest-focused Operation FARAUTAR MUJIYA, successfully targeted notorious bandit hideouts northwest of Tsaskiya village on November 10, 2024.

According to intelligence sources, the airstrike was precisely coordinated to target the camp, resulting in a direct hit that neutralized multiple terrorists on site, while several others sustained injuries.

Air assault, launched at around 1:00 a.m., marks a significant victory in the ongoing efforts to dismantle bandit networks across the region.

The source revealed that after the strike, wounded bandits were observed being transported to a local chemist’s shop in Tsaskiya, reportedly operated by an individual named Jankare, for emergency treatment.

Targeted assault forms part of NAF’s larger objective to disrupt criminal operations and restore peace across Shamo and Shafi’u areas, known bandit strongholds.

This air interdiction underscores the continued commitment of NAF and Operation FANSAN YAMMA to protect lives and property, ensuring security in Katsina and neighboring states.
