In continuation of his inspection tour on the N200M disbursed to 34 local government areas of Katsina State to embark on small projects, the Special Adviser LG Inspectorate Hon Lawal Rufa’i Safana on Monday visited Baure and Mai’adua LGAs of Daura Zone.
At Baure local government area, the Special Adviser inspected two Tipper Trucks and one Fire Service Vehicle satisfactorily repaired by the local council Chairman.
Similarly at Zango Local Government Secretariat, a grounded Tractor which was successfully repaired by the LG Chairman was inspected by the S A.
While at Mai’adua LGA, the S A inspected construction of a 6.7 Kilometer road from Mai’adua to Botsotsuwa to Daba and a 120 Meter long Drainage at Sharta Village were inspected.
Others are the ongoing construction of new Clinics at Gwadage and Mai Gari and completed Fencing work of a Graveyard at Galadimawa Village.
In an interview shortly after the inspection tour at Mai’adua, the Special Adviser expressed appreciation for what he saw on ground which justified the good utilisation of the N200M by the two LGAs so far visited.
Hon. Lawal Rufa’i Safana was overwhelmed, explaining that the projects were the types that directly touches the life of the common man.
” I have seen what I think local government is all about today, local government is meant to touch the lives of the ordinary citizens in the remotest hamlet within and I think I have seen a lot of that today.” He added.
The Chairman of Mai’adua local council Hon. Mamman Salisu NaAllahu who spoke on behalf of other two LGAs so far visited said they were the most happiest with regard to the inspection visit conducted by the Special Adviser.
Hon. NaAllahu assured the Special Adviser of their continued support and commitment towards initiating types of projects that directly touches the lives of the common man in their respective areas.
Other Officials in the inspection team include Directors of Inspection and Works of the Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Wali and Engineer Umar Farouk Abdullahi, a Civil Engineer from the Ministry, Zonal and Resident Inspectors.
