‘My Membership Rendered Useless’ — Salihu Lukman Quits APC

Katsina state government

Salihu Lukman, former Vice Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) North-West, has resigned from the ruling party, citing a betrayal of its founding vision.

Lukman, who stepped down from the APC’s national working committee last year, announced his exit on Wednesday, decrying the party’s lack of internal democracy and resistance to reform.

“My membership has been rendered useless,” Lukman declared, criticizing the APC leadership’s failure to align with the party’s original progressive ideals.

He pledged to work with Nigerians dedicated to fostering a robust democratic system where elected officials are accountable and policies reflect the people’s interests.
