The Katsina State Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs has joined millions of citizens in celebrating the state’s 38th anniversary, describing the milestone as a moment of reflection, unity, and renewed hope for progress.
In a congratulatory message, the Commissioner, Hon. Bishir Tanimu Gambo, hailed Katsina as a land of honour and prosperity that has produced outstanding leaders, revered scholars, and professionals who have played pivotal roles in Nigeria’s development.
“This anniversary is not just about history; it is about our collective responsibility to strengthen the foundations of unity and growth,” he said.
Hon. Gambo also prayed for Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, PhD, asking Allah (SWT) to continue to bless him with wisdom, strength, and fairness in steering the affairs of the state.
The Commissioner commended Governor Radda’s bold reforms in the local government sector, particularly his decision to release funds directly to the councils—a move he said has significantly boosted grassroots development.
“By empowering local government chairmen, the Governor has ensured that rural communities feel the impact of democracy through meaningful projects that touch lives directly,” he noted.
Reaffirming the Ministry’s confidence in the Governor’s visionary leadership, Hon. Gambo urged citizens to rally behind the administration to build a prosperous, united, and progressive Katsina State.
“As we celebrate 38 years of our dear state, let us renew our commitment to working hand-in-hand with the government to safeguard the legacy of honour and prosperity that defines Katsina,” he declared.
