The Managing Director of Sabon Gari, Singer And Galadima Market, Alhaji Abdul-Bashir Hussain, recently spearheaded an initiative to enhance the cleanliness and tidiness of the market environment by distributing sanitation material to the Taskforce Sanitation Committee.

The distribution event took place at the Sabon Gari Market premises, underlining a commitment to ensuring a hygienic and organized marketplace.

Alhaji Abdul-Bashir Hussain revealed that the market management had secured approval from Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, to undertake the sanitation efforts aimed at maintaining a clear and tidy market space.

He revealed that, the distributed sanitation tools included five mini tippers, 30 trucks, 100 empty drums, 80 shovels, 100 standing brooms, five cartons of sanitizers, face masks, jackets, and leather hand gloves.

The Managing Director further stated that the primary objective of the sanitation tool distribution was to transform Sabon Gari, Singer, and Galadima markets into clean, neat, and orderly environments conducive to smooth business operations.

Alhaji Abdul-Bashir emphasized that the Taskforce Sanitation Committee’s responsibility would encompass daily activities focused on preserving the cleanliness and tidiness of the market surroundings.

Furthermore, Alhaji Abdul-Bashir Hussain urged all business owners within the market to collaborate with government initiatives by ensuring prompt payment of all applicable revenues and taxes through official channels.

He highlighted the market’s compliance with transparent revenue collection procedures, emphasizing that all funds are channeled through government accounts.

In his remarks, the Senior Special Adviser to the Kano State Governor on Sabon Gari Market, Musbahu Abdullahi Shadow, commended the state government’s strategic vision in endorsing the sanitation program.

He called upon the business community to actively support government efforts in maintaining a sanitized business environment that aligns with health and safety standards.
