A supporters group of All Progressive Congress (APC), Northern Elites for Development on Sunday cautioned Zamfara federal lawmaker on alleged supporting unlawful protest against Ex-Gov. Bello Matawalle.
The group’s spokesman, Alhaji Hashimu Ado-Danmalam, urged APC leadership and supporters to investigate lawmakers action and sanction him appropriately.
Ado-Danmalam alleged that the lawmaker was accused of sponsoring protesters at the headquarters of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to laundered the name of Matawalle who is at present, Minister for State of Defense.
The group described action of the APC member of the house of representative as unnecessary, foolishness, sabotage and political intolerance aimed at create enmity and disunity through hatred for the progress of APC in Zamfara and Nigeria in general.
” All these sponsored campaigns of columny and mischief against Minister Matawalle are being sponsored by those who are not happy with his Matawalle’s performances.
” The sponsor perceived political eneminity against President Bola Tinubu and Matawalle’s actions in the northern region determine to destroying his good efforts to Nigerians.
” It’s clear that the Minister is being targeted because of his commitment to the success of President Tinubu’s renew hope agenda and giving it publicly in Nigeria, ” Ado-Danmalam said.
According to him, these hallmarks of achievements were giving enemies of President sleepless night in defending their government policies.
He added that Matawalle’s determination and motivational performances towards achieving success in the fight against banditry in the northwest that has scored much success.
He further explained that similar politically motivated campaign were sponsored by known groups from Zamfara state, who fought against the emergence of President Tinubu in 2023 elections and now want to casticagates President Tinubu with lies, mischief against the personality of Matawalle.
” There is no any justification for the lawmaker that belongs to same party with Minister going behind commiting mischiefs and political propaganda against the Minister, ” he said.
He added that the accused lawmaker was allegedly canvassing support and conniving with the senior officials of Zamfara state government under Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to hire and sponsored some unsuspecting students and those jobless youths roaming around Abuja for this nefarious campaign.
” Amongst almost all the protesting youths that were paid to carry these placards against Bello Matawalle or seek for his prosecutions by EFCC none have ever traveled to Zamfara or understand the political intrigues of the state likewise motives of their sponsored, Ado-Danmalam lamented.
