A tragic incident has rocked the Karu-Jikwoyi area of Abuja, following the sudden death of 47-year-old Yunusa Ahmadu Yusuf, popularly known as Buhun Barkonun (AMAC), who was serving as the FCT Chief Advocate on Community Development.
According to reports, Yunusa checked into a hotel with a woman identified as Ruth on Tuesday, 8th September, 2025. While lodged, he allegedly refused to eat but consumed alcohol continuously for days.
On the morning of the incident, Ruth, worried about his state, reportedly bought him an energy drink. Moments after taking it, Yunusa slipped into a coma. Attempts by Ruth and hotel staff to rush him to a hospital failed, as he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear, and investigations are currently ongoing.
