— Constituents Celebrate Two Years of “Unprecedented Achievements”

Musawa town stood still on Saturday as a sea of jubilant residents poured onto the streets to welcome their son, the Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Interior, Hon. Abdullahi Aliyu Ahmed, popularly known as the First Dujiman Katsina.
In a spectacle many described as a celebration of “two years of unmatched representation,” thousands of indigenes and residents—adorned in colourful ceremonial attire—lined the Matazu–Musawa highway singing solidarity songs as they awaited the lawmaker’s arrival.
Though Hon. Ahmed was in Musawa to distribute N54.27 million in scholarship grants to 2,199 students, the sheer magnitude of the reception overshadowed the event itself. Traditional praise singers, modern artistes and enthusiastic youths infused the town with festive energy as they hailed the man they said had “redefined representation” in the Musawa/Matazu Federal Constituency.
From Matazu to the gates of Musawa Local Government Secretariat, the lawmaker’s convoy was greeted with thunderous cheers. Residents waved excitedly, some chanting his popular slogans, while others thanked him for what they called his “trailblazing track record” in office.
Several citizens who spoke to reporters moments after Ahmed’s convoy slowed to acknowledge the cheering crowds said the APC lawmaker had “etched his name into the constituency’s history through tangible, people-centred achievements.”
At the Secretariat entrance, an ecstatic crowd surged forward dancing to the rhythms of drums and trumpets. Elders and youth groups alike praised the Dujiman Katsina for “lifting the constituency to new heights” through ongoing infrastructural and educational interventions.
When he finally addressed the crowd, Hon. Abdullahi Aliyu Ahmed expressed deep gratitude for the love and solidarity shown to him. He said their overwhelming support serves as a motivation to intensify developmental projects across the constituency.
He urged citizens to remain law-abiding and to continue supporting the administration of Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, who he said is “working tirelessly to transform Katsina State.”
Political observers say the electrifying homecoming leaves no doubt about the lawmaker’s commanding grassroots support—support his aides insist will remain unshaken as the 2027 political season approaches, despite what they call “baseless propaganda from detractors.”
