Anthony General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, has expressed satisfaction with the conduct of electorates exhibited during the conduct of the Local Government Councils elections in Kebbi State.
The Minister was speaking shortly after he casted his vote at Filin Mariya polling unit at Nasarawa One ward Birnin Kebbi.
Malami also expressed satisfaction with the turnout of voters and particularly women that came out en mass to discharge their civic responsibility.
He commended the generally peaceful conduct of the election in the state, adding that, Kebbi people are peace-loving and law-abiding citizens.
The Minister however thanked the people of the state for the support in making the election a reality for them to elect their Council Chairmen and Councillors across the twenty-one local government areas.
The Minister also called on the contestants to accept the outcome of the results in good faith and for the spirit of sportsmanship saying, that is the essence of democracy, there must naturally be a winner and naturally be a loser.
Eighteen political parties are on the race for Councils Chairmen and Councillors for this Saturday election in the state.
