In recognition of his dedication, loyalty, and contributions to the development of Bade Emirate and Yobe State, His Royal Highness, the Mai Bade, Alhaji Abubakar Umar Suleiman OFR, has conferred the coveted traditional title of Chigarin Bade on the Chief of Staff to the Yobe State Governor, Alhaji Abdullahi Yusuf Gashua.
The appointment letter was formally presented during a colorful ceremony held at the Government House, Damaturu.
The Secretary of the Bade Emirate Council, Alhaji Mamman Saleh Suleiman, who is also the Majidadin Bade, delivered the letter on behalf of the Emir.
While presenting the title, the Majidadin Bade highlighted that such honors are reserved for individuals distinguished by their hard work, integrity, and commitment to the progress of the Emirate and its people.
He described Alhaji Gashua as a credible and committed individual who has consistently supported and promoted the cultural heritage of the Bade Emirate.
The Mai Bade, who is also the Deputy Chairman of the Yobe State Council of Traditional Rulers, expressed confidence in Alhaji Gashua’s ability to continue contributing to the growth and development of the Emirate.
He urged him to sustain his efforts in upholding the values and traditions of Bade and service to himanity.
In his response, Alhaji Abdullahi Yusuf Gashua expressed gratitude to the Mai Bade for finding him worthy of the prestigious title. He pledged to justify the trust reposed in him and continue his support for the Emirate’s progress.
He commended the Mai Bade as one of the most hardworking traditional rulers, deeply committed to the welfare, security, and overall well-being of his subjects.
Alhaji Gashua noted that Mai Bade’s reign has ushered in significant positive changes in the Emirate and prayed for God’s guidance and protection for the revered monarch in his responsibilities.
This recognition further cements Alhaji Abdullahi Yusuf Gashua’s position as a key figure in the advancement of Bade Emirate and Yobe State at large.
