Prominent whistleblower and activist, Mahadi Shehu, took to his X account to express gratitude following his 12-day arrest, detention, and incarceration. In a heartfelt post titled “THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU,” Shehu extended his appreciation to three distinct groups:

1. Supporters and Well-Wishers: Shehu acknowledged the prayers and support of those genuinely concerned about his plight, stating that their spiritual and emotional backing served its intended purpose.

2. Critics and Celebrators: He also extended thanks to those who rejoiced over his ordeal, describing their actions as a source of strength and a seasoning to his worldview. Comparing them to fans in a stadium cheering for any winning team, Shehu said their reactions only emboldened him.

3. The Indifferent: Addressing those who remained silent or indifferent, Shehu noted their neutrality as a pond for combative fishing, predicting that they would eventually find themselves as either victims or villains.

 

Apologizing for his inability to respond to over 4 million messages across social media, Shehu reaffirmed his gratitude to all, concluding with a message of resilience and resolve.
