The Chief Imam of Kofar Dumi Jumu’at ( Jordan) Mosque, Sheikh Rabi’u Shehu has admonished leaders at all levels to not only make their followers happy, but also improve their livelihood and life better.
According to the chief Imam, every leader should at all times try making their lives happy and accommodative, saying the best of any human creature is the one that will comfort his followers, neighbors or associates.
Sheikh Rabi’u Shehu in his Friday sermon Implored upon leaders at all levels, wealthy individuals in the society and philanthropists alike do everything humanly possible to ensure that the vulnerable and needy did not suffer the brunt of poverty challenging the livelihood of the less-priviledge.
Imam Rabi’u Shehu also appealed to the politicians especially those enjoying elective offices to establish skills training centres for the teeming unemployed youths roaming our streets, with a view to make them self-reliance, and even employers of labour.
‘I wonder how our politicians, particularly those occupying elective and appointive offers are levishly spending wealths without recourse to the conditions of the poor in the society. They prefer to spend monies levishly out of self- centeredness.
“You have starked millions and billions of Naira in their houses’ cupboards, garden-parks, farmlands and foreign accounts, rather than giving arms to the poor, establishing small and medium enterprises or providing interest-free loans to the youths to fend for a living”, Imam faulted the wealth-to-do.
Sheikh Rabi’u Shehu similarly urged the millionaires and billionaires to promote the education of children of the poor, other vulnerable and all those whose livelihoods are being challenged, saying no-one will depart the temporal world with whichever material or money he or she acquired
