Lawmakers supports 2,500 banditry victims families

Sen. Ibrahim Lamido (APC-Sokoto) has commenced the distribution of N200,000 to each of the 2,500 victims affected by bandit attacks in the Senatorial district.

Lamido said the support was aimed at reducing the hardship being faced by the victims as the economic situation in the country has detoriated.

While flagging off the disbursement Senator Ibrahim Lamido represented by the sole Administrator Gwaranyo Local Government Kabiru Sarki Fulani, said the commencement is part of the his campaign promises with aims of making the affected communities to became self reliance so as to avoid streets begging.

He emphasized that Senator Ibrahim Lamido would continue to do more to his constituents interns of human Development, education and water supply among others.

Yusuf Sada Isa, the Zonal Secretary to Senator Lamido while addressing the beneficiaries also urged them to make use of the support in creating business that will help them in maintaining their day to day activities

Some beneficiaries interviewed identified the gesture as first in the history of Democracy in zone, prayed for Allah’s guidance to Senator Lamido throughout his tenure.
